On why a blog post is better than a ten page paper:

brevity- a man's point will get lost in pages and pages of ink and paper. give me a one liner and a wysiwyg and ill move the world.

clarity- if i wrote a post on the south korean economic development model during the 1980's, dozens of kids will wake up tomorrow like they slept at a holiday inn express and go out and buy up samsung stock. i couldnt even find cool enough photos to make ten pages on the same topic even remotely interesting. plus, links are the ultimate footnotes; more info in a smaller streamlined package that doesnt detract from the text.

efficiency- blogging takes minimal amounts of valuable websurfing time. i can crank out a post and get back to searching for midget transvestite gangbang porn without losing my train of thought or breaking a sweat. no hour-long fruitless database searches and no googling til the cows come home.

creativity- if you happened to meet me in person, you would know immediately that this is my blog. i write in the most conversational tone possible. i break where i take a breath, and i drop clever lines by themselves cuz i emphasize them. no i cant stop yelling, cuz thats how i talk. i dont think ive spoke ten pages worth in my whole life.

lists- if i turned in a ten page list, id have to come back next semester and write another one. nuff said.
